LAKERS SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP INFORMATION

Learn • Develop • Evolve:

For younger players, building skill mastery is crucial. It takes about 50-100 accurate repetitions over three days to learn a new skill. It takes about 2500 accurate repetitions over three weeks to undo a skill learned incorrectly. At Lakers Summer Skills Camp, we believe it is worth the investment to help younger athletes learn a skill accurately. We also believe having fun is crucial for future passion. Our summer skills camps combine great teaching, high energy, enthusiasm and tons of fun into a camp experience younger athletes will love.

Basketball Skills Development:

• Ball Handling, Dribbling, Shooting, Passing, Rebounding, Defense, Cutting, Footwork, Pivoting, Triple Threat, Man-To-Man Offense and Defense

Fun basketball activities throughout the week:

• 3 on 3 Tournament, Daily Full Court Games, Shooting Competitions, Special Day Programs

Who Can Attend

• All boys and girls born between January 1st, 2009 and June 25th, 2017 can attend the camp.

• This camp is designed for all levels of players.  

• Groups are divided by age and skills. Groups will be adjusted on a daily basis as necessary.

• Camp runs from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. No day care service offered outside camp hours

​Coaching Staff

The camp schedule and all activities will be overseen by our technical director, Mike Hickey. The staff will be made up of current and former boys and girls from our competitive intercity program.

Weekly Camp Fees (2024)

For sake of clarity, we now use TeamSnap for our registration. TeamSnap adds a 3.25% processing fee and a $2.05 transaction fee to every registration These fees are out of our control and we apologize for any inconvenience. Additionally, we are not registered as a childcare service and cannot provide RL-24 slips for tax purposes.

• Weeks #1 and #2: $240

• ​Weeks #3-#6: $290

 

Registration (2024)

IMPORTANT: You will need to create a Teamsnap account in order to succesfully register for the camp.

Everyone will receive a camp t-shirt and ball at the start of their first camp week. You will also receive an e-mail the week before your son/daughter begins with more information regarding the schedule, planned breaks, any outdoor activities, etc. Registration is capped at 66 people per week and will be first come, first served.
